Our team
Frank G. Geerdink, known as FG, a Dutch national, 63 years of age, has been successful as an entrepreneur from early age onwards. The red ribbon of his entrepreneurial life is to see problems in certain industries and envisioning the solution by combining technologies, systems and methods from other industries and trades and, by bringing these factors together, produce the viable solution and thus creating new businesses. Over the last 20 years the offshore decom was a logical move to look into for finding solutions on how to handle these large structures and gradually the dismantling of ships came as a natural step, as the specially developed tools to dismantle offshore rigs offered a great solution on how to dismantle ships. As it turned out, ships could be dismantled at a much higher frequency and speed and with the integration of many adjacent techniques. The development of the dedicated CMT yard shows its potential and offers a great business opportunity as it delivers a truly circular process system. All waste retrieved from ships is processed at the CMT yard and the technologies developed guarantee people and the environment are 100% safe at all times.
Swedish National, 46 Yo, serial entrepreneur and advisor to several start-ups and scale-ups. Micke works in the interception where new technologies and innovation meets sustainability and impact. Micke has the last decade supported several companies in validation, capitalisation and international business development - in various geographies, industries and segments. Micke is an activist for circularity, and has a wide approach to stakeholders - "people, planet and profits" is his mantra. Micke is a keen sailor, having crossed the equator over 10 times.
To Daniël, working with large ships is tied to an exceptional experience. In 2013, Daniël managed a team of cultural entrepreneurs to present an opera in the cargo hold of a freight ship. Now, almost 10 years later, he is responsible for public relations and impact at CMT, making sure these freight ships are dismantled in a circular, safe and competitive way. Daniël started his career at Arcadis, working in the energy sector and gravitating towards innovation. He was asked to develop an innovation framework for Arcadis globally, connecting the company on innovation and making it a strategic priority. With that experience he became strategy officer at corporate venture Arcadis Gen, creating and implementing a strategy for growth and impact. In 2021 he joined venture building studio Enviu, building world changing companies. And that’s what CMT is!
